How do I create a GPX file with Phone Numbers

I just got a Nuvi 2460lmt. I would like to create a GPX file so I may use the dialer and blue tooth. I have a database that has all the info in a csv format. Is there a program that can create a gpx file from this about 2500 names and addresses.
Also is it possible to save it as extra's not as favorites.

1. convert a csv file to gpx with phone #'s
2. Save it in my Extra' as Custom POIs

Thanks
Bill

Or Extra_POI_Editor from TurboCCC.

http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor

Be certain you INSTALL the program using the loader to get all the supporting files. Depending on what you are looking for in a POI file, a lot of the chain locations are already available here as GPX. Of course, if it's your list of customers or other private data, then you will need to build it yourself or have one of the GPX file maintainers build it for you as we can normally get it right the first time.

@Box Car

I'd wager this is for his cell phone book, not POI's per se.

If it's his cell phone it should load that to the phone directory automagically.

.

I'd say this was his backup plan.

Most devices will not hold 2500 entries on the phone.

not a user friendly idea

Once you create the file with the 2500 name and numbers your finger will go numb scrolling down to a friend whose last name begins with a "W" "Y" or "Z"

Since you already have the csv file. You can download Extra Poi Editor at http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor . When you download the program if you get message about OCX file missing scroll down on the main page and under troubleshooting you will find the Extra Poi Editor Installer that you will need to download. Once installation is completed you will need to set up the preferences you want first. Under options click on preferences. For example using ft for input. Under units you will see editor, select Imperial/US. For Field Read select metric and Field save select Metric. After setting your preferences click on file and click open to select from your computer the file you want to convert to gpx. There is also option in the program to get the coordinates if you don't have them.Look under the tools tab.

See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 to make your custom poi file so you can get it to show in extras on the gps.
