I have a Garmin Zumo XT. It comes with Garmin TopoActive PS NA Maps preloaded on it. Garmin also offers TOPO U.S. 24K maps for sale. What does Garmin TOPO U.S. 24K maps have that Garmin TopoActive PS NA Maps doesn't have?

I have been using my Drivesmart 65 with Alexa trouble free for a couple years. I did not connect it to the Garmin Drive app during this time because I wanted to save the battery drain on my smartphone, plus I wanted all the audio to come out of the Drivesmart rather than use bluetooth to send audio to the vehicle speakers. I hate having music interrupted by the turn directions.

I am going to add another Garmin for my second car.
I am finding it impossible to see a direct comparison between the Drivesmart 71 and 76! Has anyone had both or had problems with one or the other?

The only differences I see so far is the 76 has a traffic cable. That would account for the $69 difference.

Has anybody here created or downloaded Custom Maps onto their Garmin GPS?

If so, is GPX the correct format that Garmin will accept?

This version may have fixed the fact the GE was in that Startup group of some Windows versions, in spite of "running in the background" being disabled."

I did the update, trouble free, and the running in the background was NOT checked after the installation!

User notes say the update accomplishes the following:

Fixed an issue with ANT devices not being detected.

Years ago I made a Harley Davidson short cut in the main menu (where to) of my Zumo 660 to access the harley poi. I have a new Garmin and for the life of me I can't remember how to do it, I've tried everything I can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the second year with the e-bikes that I bought for my wife and I. I have tried an old cell phone and Google Maps for bicycle trails. I really prefer the look of maps on my Garmin Zumo XT.

So, with that in mind, can anybody here recommend any free bike maps that can be downloaded onto the Garmin Zumo XT?

My car died this weekend when I came back to it in a grass parking lot. (still don't know what happened to it, it's only 8 months old and the dealer still can't figure out why it just went kaput). This grass lot is used one week out of the year for a large event. It doesn't have an address. Well, AAA works on addresses alone and doesn't do GPS coordinates.

I installed GE 7.17.1 on my Win 11 desktop and as always, immediately went to Settings and unchecked "Always keep Garmin Express running in background" and confirmed that the Auto Launch box was unchecked. Most of us here do this with every update.

My DriveSmart 65 does not show a voice command menu. My DriveSmart 55 does show a voice command menu. Is there a option to turn the voice command menu on/off?

My Android Pixel 6a lately has been telling me (great conversationalist that it is) that Garmin Drive has been registering between 11% and 14% of it’s battery consumption. The most recent circumstances were during a three day period when I never cranked up the truck and yet it consumed 12% of the total battery usage.

I want to create a route in Google maps and load it onto my 3597.
I have done this before on a different Nuvi and I have been struggling for DAYS to figure out how to do this on the 3597.
Can anyone tell me?

I have a RV760 Garmin and I have updated the maps and other info.
However,I had some help a few years back in installing a group of POI's we use in our travels.
I noticed most have been updated and I am trying to remove just the ones we put in and replace with some updated ones.
I seem not able to do either.

Just downloaded GE 7.17.1.0 and installed ok.

We just bought a 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E.
I am signing it up for the Honda MYGarage.

I am asked for the Navigation and Radio Serial numbers and Codes.
I have searched everywhere and can not find out if my truck actually has a serial number for my navigation. The MYGarage knows the year and make and is still asking for the navigation serial number.

Just opened my GE and was advised that Garmin Express 7.17.0.0 is now available. It installed trouble-free on my Win 10 machine although I have not tested it with any of my devices.

So, I have both of the Garmin's listed in the subject line. In fact, I have them both mounted in my truck. The 70LMT is on my wife's side and the 1090 is for me to use when driving (mounted low and in the middle).

I have searched all over and can't find a way to load sub-folders in the poi file in the Garmin Montana 700i. I would like to have categories of files, like on my Zumo. It has probably been discussed already somewhere.

I just got a nuvi 2797 and I'm trying to transfer the favorites from my Drivesmart 65 to the Nuvi 2797. I tried to copy the current.gmx file directly from the 65 to the 2797, and it did not take. So I tried to do the same using Basecamp and that did not work. Are the favorite's format different between the Drivesmart & Nuvi?

My Garmin Express tells me an update to the time zone map is available.
No big deal, details are updates to Mexico Daylight Savings Time.
