When I tried to download the current POI Loader from http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/ I got this: "Sorry, we can't find that page." I then tried searching the Garmin website for POI Loader, but there were no results.

Supposedly GE version 7.18.0.0 was removed from Garmin's direct download website and replaced with the previous 7.17.3.0.0.

A while back, I noticed that I was no longer receiving traffic updates on my nuvi 3490LMT...has HD Traffic gone the way of the Dodo? I can not even find anything in the "Subscriptions" area of the Garmin website to try and activate a new subscription.

then you might want to consider NOT updating GE to the recently released version, 7.18.0.0. Many people over on the Garmin Forum site report having issues after doing the update.

I have been having problems getting the internal battery on my Garmin Zumo XT fully charged when using a Garmin charger in the house.

I am now using an Anker charger that puts out 5 volts and 3 amps.

It displayed this message a bit ago, so I will check in the morning.

offered sometime in the last few hours. On my update, the setting "Always keep Gamin Express running in the background" was not enabled, and remained disabled after the update.

I was looking at Garmin City Navigator today and when I checked Compatible Devices, it lists a number of aviation units. They are the Garmin Aera 500, 510, 550, 560 and 796. They are more expensive than automobile navigators.

charlesd45, in your "Extra POI Editor | How To Build Alert Distance In Using Gpx Files" tutorial about how to use Extra POI Editor, you talk about "OPEN"ing the target file, but don't mention that the target file has to be a .csv file. That is right, right? If it is, that becomes a fairly important omission for someone completely unfamiliar with EPE.

Just received this in my email. I am not aware of having any of those accounts mentioned in this email! Additionally it was sent to an email address Garmin would not even know about !!! I believe it to be a SPAM or PHISHING message. There is a box " Reactivate Account" in this email.

A group of us will be traveling to the Hill City, South Dakota area in October for ATVing. From what I am seeing on-line, Avenza maps are one of the recommended navigation tools. Is there a way to install Avenza maps on my Garmin Zumo XT?

I have been looking at buying a Garmin Montana 700. One of the maps available is the Wikiloc Trails map. Is anybody here using the Wikiloc Trails maps? If so, how well do you like them?

I just found Topographic OpenStreetMap maps for Garmin devices yesterday. I am just curious is anybody else is using them and what your experiences have been with them.

Am I missing anything? Currently I use a second 3597 & my iQue as backups but 3597 has a problem with the SD slot and iQue mostly is for overseas travel. It handles NZ maps real well.

On my older Garmin Nuvi's I was able to enter and display owner info (name, address, telephone etc) and was able to add a custom startup splashscreen with contact info in case of loss (or theft!).

I cannot find any way to do this on the DriveSmart 66.

Back in September of 2022, I reported that my Nuvi 2689LMT was stuck in a continous boot loop and unusable.

I let a buddy try fixing it using "Cure", but no luck.

On this forum, it was suggested that I send the GPS in to Short Tronics (aka The Palm Doctor) in Minnesota. I finally decided to get the device fixed, so I got it back from my buddy and sent it in.

I have never owned a handheld GPS. I have only used automobile navigators. I started reading up on the Garmin Montana 700. It seems to have mostly positive reviews.

Does anybody here happen to have a Garmin Montana 700? I would likely use it for ATVing and e-bike rides.
