Catamount Drive off of US276 in NC

Farmer has placed a bulldozer on the gravel road just inside the fence now blocking access to the road (That leads into the cattle ranch)

Now: IF Garmin had this road indicated as a gravel road instead of a paved road, this would be a moot point, but no.

At least a bulldozer blocking road is easier to spot-than a fence blocking road, and 100’ of new gravel, before the road degrades into a muddy cattle field!

Think Farmer is a Garmin user??

This is starting to feel like old man yelling at clouds. laugh out loud

As indicated in other posts in other discussion threads (at least two) where this road has come up. Various map venders treat that specific "road" or dirt path differently. Some do not even see it as a named road. From a satellite view it looks like a dirt road into a farmer's field. There didn't even appear to be a street sign/pole there. Probably not in Garmin's map vender's interest (time, expense) to fix what ever the issue is for one person on POI Factory.

Map error.

It's a map error. It has been reported multiple times. It should be fixed no matter how trivial some may think it is.

That said, the problem probably is tied to some data source Here is using to generate its map data for that region. If the original source is not corrected, the error probably gets reintroduced each time a refresh is pulled from whatever data source Here is using.

During Winter I’ve seen

During Winter I’ve seen more and more gravel was added in first 60-80’ into the pasture from the gate blocking the turnoff off of US 276.
It would now appear that’s the beginnings of a building foundation going up in that cow pasture, right in middle of Catamount Drive. That’ll certainly slow traffic!

Give me the coordinates of this location

I would love to take a look at it.

A repost from a post I made in another thread were this same discussion was taking place:

On Mapquest it does show a 1 Catamount Drive at those coordinates:
Mapquest link

Google Maps while it shows some sort of a road in map view, and a dirt road into a field on satellite view, it doesn't list it as Catamount.
Google maps link

Bing maps doesn't even show a road/dirt trail there, just a dotted line from the Johnathon Creek Rd to Grindstone Rd.
Bing link

Google street view (image from July 2023) of those coordinates just shows a dirt road there with no street sign.
