Setup help required
Hi,
I will be coming over from New Zealand to the US on holiday.
Can a member here confirm the settings I have set on my Garmin Drivesmart 61 is correct or not.
I have set up a trip from Atlanta GA to Detroit MI to test.
Atlanta ----> Nashville ----> Louisville ----> Indianapolis ----> Detroit.

Bricked Nuvi 2689LMT - Anybody know a repair source?
My 2689 crapped out in early January of this year. It was having troubles booting and eventually went into the constant reboot mode. This strongly suggests that the operating software has been corrupted.

Garmin nuvi 265W
Hi Folks,
I have an old Garmin nuvi 265w. It has its original lifetime map but it is 2010th year. Can somebody help or tell me where to download NA maps. I`ve update software version to the latest 7.8 through Garmin Express. It also shows me map update available but it costs about $95 and it doesnt show what version/year it is?
Any response many appreciated.

Are All Garmin Navigators About The Same At Keeping Time Without A Signal?
I powered up one of my Garmin GPS navigators recently to get the time to set an atomic wristwatch that was no longer getting signal from WWVB. When the Garmin was on, but before it received a GPS signal, I noticed the clock was off by a couple of minutes. That made be wonder how accurate Garmin navigators are at keeping time without a GPS signal.

POI Loading Problems
I keep up with about 15 POIs and somehow lately when I load an updated POI and opened POIs on my 255W all I have is the newly loaded POI content in place of the normal 15 different ones. It opens to the individual POIs and none of my regular ones show up. I have done this forever and just now the problem comes up.

Since last map update
Anytime I use GPS and I’m coming home from I40,
The GPS has me take a road that is not grey (indicating a gravel road) that frankly I did know was there, so I didn’t take it.
Last time coming home from Asheville, there was no traffic so I slowed down to see this road.
You gotta be kidding me! It’s a dirt road in the middle of a cornfield!

Maximizing internal memory on the Nuvi 2699
My 2699 was updated to the latest N America 2023.20 on the SD 32GB card and has 2.35GB free out of 7GB internally.
Can I delete GarminJVC files in the nuvi 2699 folder, there is a JVC folder on the SD card? Are there any other files to delete?

Drive 5+ Sound Alert
Hi,
Please excuse my ignorance, but I am new to this.
I have just purchased a new Drive 5 plus (to replace my old Nuvi).
The warning 'Bong' when I exceed the speed limit or when approaching speed cameras etc, is very quiet (compared to my old Nuvi).
I have all the volumes set at max. The voices are all fine....just the warning 'bongs'

Lifetime Maps Update
I read through the license for the Lifetime Maps Updates and was surprised that a Garmin unit will lose its Lifetime Map License if it has been over 2 years since the last map update.

DriveSmart 86 - white 'backlights'
I did the most recent software update for my Drivesmart 86. Now I have (2) white oblong 'backlights' coming from the back of the screen at both bottom corners. Not bright enough that I can't read the screen, but still something I haven't seen before and wanted to make sure that I don't have a problem with the 86 going bad.

Nuvi 310 Splash Screen customisation
Hi Guys,
sorry I've not been here for very long time, but one of the things I learnt from you clever fellows was how to personalise the splash screen on my Nuvi 310. (I put my name and address on mine).
As I have moved house I would like to change the screen on my Nuvi, but I've racked my brains, googled my fingers off and I can't figure out how I did it.
