Too many maps, extra school zone notices

So the other day I plugged my DS65 into my computer (Windows 7), was informed there were updates. Approved all and walked away, came back abit later and it's all finished.
But, now I am getting school zone alerts where there are no schools and speed reduced zones where there never were any before. (Edmonton on the Whitemud drops to 60 for a bit before going back to 80.)
On my Garmin -> installed Maps I have
North America DEM
CN North America NT 2025.10 Parkopedia
National Parks v2
CN North America NT 2025.10 Foursquare
CN North America NT 2025.10 All Canada & Mexico
CN North America NT 2025.10 All US
CN North America NT 2025.10 Basic 3D

So, my question. Does anyone else have "extra" school zone notices with this map set? Perhaps I should re install?? Or, just ignore it.. no big deal actually.
Cheers
Ralph

Well

That's what I'd expect to see. You can report inaccurate info to Garmin

I routinely get school zone

I routinely get school zone alerts where schools are not, but I believe it's actually pinging the presence of crosswalks. Nevertheless I tend to ignore them. Reinstalling won't do any good, and it wouldn't reduce the number of maps you have anyway.

School zones are hard coded

School zones are hard coded in the map software database, just like speed limits.

School Zone Alerts are No Big Deal

I agree with Strephon_Alkhalikoi. I get the quick little alert, then do a quick check to see if it was valid, primarily for the safety of any kids and the possibility of a speed camera.

I get speed alerts also and sometimes, the speed they show is not correct, but still worth a double check to be sure.

Same for Red Light Alerts. I do not accelerate to beat a light and I make sure that I stop for them.

The dings are no big deal.

Just a comment that might be an explanation

Many of us might be acquainted with a typical rectangular school zone sign often accompanied by a flashing light. However, in Pennsylvania and New York, and often used in small villages, there is a pentagon-shaped sign portraying students walking that is sometimes used. It isn’t necessarily accompanied by a flashing light and thuis can be easy to miss That sign means you are approaching a school zone. If the sign is accompanied by a downward-pointing arrow, it means you are at the school zone crosswalk.

I believe this type of sign might be used nationwide. See the content at https://worksafetci.com/2019/12/what-are-pentagonal-street-s...

Don’t ask how I know…
