POI Loader doesn't load custom files

OK I tried to add more POI using the newest POI Loader and when I get to the part where I browse to the folder where the custom POI files are located and press next, the next screen says:
Please choose the settings for the file borders.csv
o Ignore
o This file contains proximity alerts

It does this for all the csv & gpx files in the folder. Why doesn't it load all my customs automatically like it did before? Nothing gets loaded onto my Nuvi 350.

Because in the screen prior to or just following (can't remember which), you are given a choice of running the program in Express mode or Manual mode -- it is a drop down menu. You evidently have it set on manual mode now, whereas it was evidently defaulting to express mode before.

I tried it in Express mode

I tried it in Express mode and Manual and I get the same thing. Thanks just the same.

loading poi

make syure that the target folder is the correct one - i had the same experience, and found that i was trying to download to a F derive, but really needed to load to a K drive.

I'm pointing to the correct folder. It sees the correct files in the folder and asks what to do with the files in the folder. It's like it doesn't know what to do with the files in that folder; weird.

.

But check to be sure the DESTINATION is correct.

You should be selecting either your nuvi or your SD card.

OK I found the problem, it's

OK I found the problem, it's my operating system. The computer I was trying to do this on has Vista Ultimate 64 bit version. I moved it to my Dell laptop which has Windows XP Media Edition and it loaded no problem. I also tried it on my other computer which has Vista but the 32 bit version again it worked. I'm pretty sure the problem is because of the x64 version of Vista. I have some problems with other software running correctly with this operating system too. Man I wish Microsoft would problems with Vista x64!

I have had many problems with Vista 64bit. And I'm not talking about just POI problems. I called Dell and they shipped me a good version of XP. I formatted my drive and loaded XP and no more problems. I also work for a very large IT shop where we have over 50,000 desktops and we refuse to upgrade to Vista.

Always look for the warning label on the computer.

Some computers have a warning label on them. It contains the word "Microsoft". Unfortunately I am also in that boat. I just wish that my applications would all work with Linux.
