I am relatively new to a Nuvi205W but I have been Geocaching for years with a Magellan Explorist 500. At any rate I recently made my first driving trip with the nuvi. Before going I wanted to load rest area POI. Did some reading on this site on how to use POI loader and I jumped in to load the Illinois and Iowa CSV files for rest areas.

Got my 885T two days ago, updated to new firmware and everything. Rebooted itself in the middle of routing yesterday.

Prior to the 885T I had a 765T which had all sorts of problems including rebooting by itself.

Anybody else have restarting issues?

I have a c340, and I just updated the maps on the c340 and Mapsource on my pc to 2010.1.

No problem after I also updated the software for the c340, just a bit time-consuming.

Now I want to update my brother in law's c340.

He is not very compter competent. (after 6 years with a computer, he still can't remember how to send an email, although he can at least read his email.)

I have a question that I hope some of you can explain for me. I noticed tonight on my 755T, whenever you go to "Recently Found" or "Favorites", whenever you're on the page that lists all of the places, the mileage shown for each of those places is different from the mileage shown when you actually click on one of those addresses.

I have Nuvi 760 I want to attached alert sound and picture I follow the instruction like put same nae csv file and picture and sound but it does,t work even I put .csv on csv file and .bmp on picture file but nothing work.Is there any one know how it work.

I have 15-20 different POI files that I install on my Garmin. When I look under extras for the files, the groups are listed in a Random order. Is there a way to get them in alphabetical order?

Can i upload the POI files to a Garmin Streetpilot 7200, or is it only to Nuvi's?

I have been looking to purchase a GPS unit and in particular, the Garmin Nuvi 755T. Recently, I was able to borrow a 255T from a friend and really like the simplicity of the interface. However, one feature that I wished I had available on my trip was the ability to do multiple point planning, thus the desire for the 755T.

having a problem loading communicator Plug In to my Mac Tried 3 times, says installed but test page cant find it installed HELP

Just got my 885T two days ago, and this took me 3+ hours to figure out. Apparently POIs loaded to the unit will not display properly until after I do a reset by taking out and putting back the battery of the unit.

Question to the other 8xx series owners: are you doing the same thing?

FYI: If your Nuvi 885t is Freezing up while turning it
on or while the map loads and hangs on initial startup
Then:
Go to Garmin.com
Download the latest update to rectify this issue.
Note: It will take up to 5 minutes for your unit(Nuvi) to communicate with your PC.

Hello everybody..... I was one of those guys with a 7x5 series unit who was unlucky enough to have my brand new gps shut down while I was nearly 500 miles from home last month. After getting home, I talked to a garmin rep, not once, but twice and was told to send it back to them and that they would send me a brand new unit since my unit was still"new".

I have a nuvi 760 that has a thin white line running from left to right across the screen about a half inch down from the top. I emailed Garmin and they had me do a master reset which did not help. I have emailed them back but was hoping that someone here could help me.

I would like help downloading Red Light & Speed Cameras to my Garmin nüvi® 255W. Is this model compatible for the files on this site?

I updated some of my POI files and now, when I go to Extras > Custom POI > DC-Attractions, for instance, I find two DC-attractions.

One is listed like this: ._DC-attractions

Other is listed like this: DC-Attractions.

Tap the screen for the first and get No Matches Found.

Tap the screen for the second and there are all the DC-Attractions, as they should be.

Not to be stupid but...

I am trying to download The POI for Mexico and install them on my Zumo 550 as custom POIs. The file download alright and will unzip, but when I use POILOADER it will not show up in my custom file on zumo. I have world map and city nav 2009, plus mexico Atlas and Mexico map by garmin. What am I doing wrong?

What is the easiest site to down load Speed cameras for DC, Maryland, and France , Switzerland.
and have my Garmin 670 or 775T only flash red and beep if I am over the speed limit when near a camera.

2 years ago I used the France date base found on the Garmin web site and it worked well.

I don't mine paying a fee if necessary, if that makes it easier.

Anybody know when the 2011 map update comes out ?
