Defaulty Voice files for 1490T

I am concerned my voice files may have become corrupt.
I do have a backup but not of all the files.

Web updater will only show me foreign files.

Is there anyway I can force it to download ALL the voices?
If not can someone provide me with a copy of them?
Any 1xxx nuvi is compatible.

many thanks

The fix

Delete all voices files (after backing up, of course!), and then run the web updater to re-download them.

Tried that but it didnt work

sad
Sadly no go.

.

After deleting the voices, disconnect the nuvi from the PC and do a power-cycle or two. This will repopulate GarminDevice.xml with the new system values. WebUpdater looks at GarminDevice.xml when looking for newer versions or missing files from the unit. After power-cycling the unit, reconnect to the PC and rerun WebUpdater...

nope that didnt work either

wahh!!!!!!

.

Now try deleting GarminDevice.xml from the unit (it's in the \Garmin folder). This rebuilds the file from scratch...be sure to power-cycle after deleting it. Then try WebUpdater again.

nope couldnt identify the unit

so I put the file back in.
I am reluctant to try editing out the voices from the XML as there is a lot of detail in there and I dont want to brick it.

After deleting

After deleting GarminDevice.xml, you need to power cycle the unit a couple of times to rebuild the file from scratch. If the unit is not recognized by WebUpdater, you did not allow the file to be rebuilt. A power-cycle is *required* (disconnect from PC, shut unit off, power unit on and allow the unit to boot to the Where To? screen).

no luck

it just wouldnt recreate the file
In the end I put it back
edited the file then looked for the voice tags and changed their version numbers to 0
then ran the update which realised they were out of date and forced a reload
havent tested it yet to see if it addressed my issue but I managed to do it.
thanks fior the suggestions
