I have discovered that after loading all my custom POIs with icons and voice alerts and installing them manually, that some of the alerts only have a tone and not the voice alerts. What's up with that?

I have a nuvi 205 and I used the POILoader to add custom POIs to the GPS, I noticed they were not in alphabetical order, it appears you have to add them in alphabetical order for them to display that way. That's not a problem until you have to update one and now it appears out of order, thus you have to upload each poi again.

I've downloaded the POI's then put them in a folder. I then opened POI Loader and picked the correct folder and was told that my POI's will be loaded to my Garmin. I don't see them. How do I find them? Do I have to unlock anything?

I wasn't sure how to word my question for the subject, so if you clicked to read the body, thank you! My home address in my nuvi is wrong - when I get to my street, it directs me to turn left instead of right and has my house number at the other end of the street.

I have Garmin Lock setup and I just entered my PIN incorrectly one time and it powered the unit off. Now it will not power back on.?.? What do I do to get this fixed? I tried connecting it to the PC but it still will not power on. I have a 260W.

Garmin just released WebUpdater 2.0.5, it seems to have fixed the issue that WebUpdater was having with Leopard 10.5.6.

I have installed it and tested it with my Nuvi 360, seems to be working just fine.

I have been geotagging my photos for the past 6 months with Geosetter. I have tried unsuccessfully to get my Garmin 265WT to use these photos for "photo navigation."

From the forum posts I have seen on the Panoramio site it appears that geotagged photos do not have to be posted to that site nor downloaded directly from http://connect.garmin.com/photos in order to use photo navigation.

My garmin 350 ver 8 occasionally will alert with a splash screen that a new update map is available.
Is there any way to permanently disable this?
Note: I have no need to upgrade the maps on this unit.

I want to update my map and I would like to know in what month of 2009 will the 2010 map be available?

I'm all new to this and I feel like a kid in a candy store!

Just got the 760 and didn't realize that the GTM20 cigarette lighter DC power adapter was an antennae. Is the GTM20 compatible with MSN direct or do I have to buy another antennae?

I have a nüvi 750, Software Version 4.60

I've downloaded and installed several POI files. All seems to work as advertised expect one thing I stumbled across this afternoon.

Has anyone had any problems with the 760 voice stuttering with the new 4.6 firmware upgrade? It was pretty bad yesterday. I didn't have the problem before the upgrade. I applied the upgrade again and it still does it.

Can the previous firmware 4.2 be applied?

This gps is much more fun now that I've installed the Dr. Fear voice. He cracks us up.
Overall, I am really impressed with this little device. I just wish it had a home button so that I didn't have to hit 'back' all the time..

I have a Garmin C580, I use the MP3 player to listen to all the music I play in my car. I have a 4GB SD card in my Garmin, but can only play 500 of the 750 songs (that may seem like a lot but it isn't), I have on the card, does anyone know if there's a limit on amount of music you can play on the Garmin C580?

I have just joined the group and boy is it great. I have a Garmin 760 paired with a Motorola V360. It works great. I am even able to voice dial. My problem is with the custom POI's that I have loaded. If I go to Where To then to Extras then to custom POIs all the custom POI's are there along with the phone numbers, but I am not able to call a number after selecting a POI from here.
