POI labels do not scroll

I have a nüvi 750, Software Version 4.60

I've downloaded and installed several POI files. All seems to work as advertised expect one thing I stumbled across this afternoon.

I created a "Go to" route from Home to a Favorite about 500 miles away. I then selected: Menu, Where to?, Near, My Current Route, OK, Extras, Custom POIs, and Rest Areas. The POI file chosen is immaterial as long as it will find >4 items so that you will have some to scroll through. The problem is noticeable if each location has a unique name (as are most rest stops); if all the items were "Walmart" or "Cracker Barrel", you might not notice this.

As you scroll down, the 2 rightmost columns with distance and direction scroll, but the labels in the left column do not. If I select one of these locations it does display the correct name and other information for that location, but when select Back, the table still only shows the labels for the 1st 4 items in the list.

I tried creating different routes with the same results. This happens only if the choice for Search Near... is My Current Route, otherwise they scroll properly if any of the other 3 choices are made.

I'd like to verify that others can recreate this. I will run this past Garmin but would like to know if it is just my GPS, only this model or software version, etc.

I had that problem with 3.0

I had that exact same problem with version 3.0, but it was fixed with 4.2, it seems that they did not carry over the fix to 4.6, Garmin might have some software configuration management issues.

See this link when I raised the issue originally:

http://www.poi-factory.com/node/14933

Back then it only happened with custom POIs, and it worked fine with built-ins.

I have since cleaned up the files I had used to reproduce (and report) the problem originally, but I'll try to recreate when I get a chance.

Just to clarify, yes this is

Just to clarify, yes this is occurring only with Custom POIs, the built-ins work correctly.

I was able to dupicate this problem with 4.6 I also had the stuttering problem so I reinstalled 4.2 I also notice the problem in 4.2 Not sure if the problem existed before since I never tried this function.

No problems yet with 760

No stuttering, and my POI lists scroll just fine. I have POI's in both CSV and GPS format. I don't see anything wrong with how they scroll.

I had upgraded 4.50 to 4.60 and was able to duplicate the scrolling issue.

Yes, that scrolling bug is back

I was able to reproduce the problem in 4.6, and I know that it had been fixed in 4.2, so the bug has been resurrected.

However, I don't have any stuttering problem at all, and the lock-in seems to be quicker and more sensitive than it was before, so the net result for me is positive with 4.6, but I still think that it is shameful that a fix doesn't carry on to the next release - Not impressed!

My GPS is also a 750 running 4.6 firmware. It also has this problem.

Doing some further checking with my unit, I find that GPX files that list address under the POI name in Custom POIs behave strangely. The name does NOT change but the address and distance does change.
