Samsung Still In There
The final paragraph of the article reads:
"Looking at the full year, Samsung actually emerged as the top smartphone maker over Apple, according to IDC, though just by a fraction. Samsung's market share for 2011 rose to 19.1 percent from 7.5 percent a year ago, while Apple's nestled in at 19 percent from 15.6 percent last year."
Very close, indeed!

Interesting Race For Sure
As Apple adds more carriers, they will grow even more. Quite impressive how Apple enters a market space, or actually created a market space, and now is the leader in a business that was once dominated by well established companies.
Sort of disturbing how Nokia, Blackberry and Motorola are not major players anymore, given how dominant they were.
