Finally, after only 7 days it arrived in the mail. It's updating now as I type. It looks pretty cool.... So I've been thinking I think I'm going to use this one to experiment with.
Significant other says I'm more excited about the TT than I was picking up my car...

I am talking about the warn when near sounds. Not actually the sounds themselfs, but how they are listed to get an idea of what they actally sound like. For example: tomtom says "Bell 1". I would name it "bell gong". Tomtom "Beep 5" to "fire siren".

I wanted to check on the price of a new map from TomTom's website, but after entering my device and the new map, nothing happens. I expected the website to go another page showing me the price, but it didn't.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't know much about them. But it is an XL with IQ route edition. Live Traffic update only.

I uploaded the BOA ATM USA file from here. Then I set out to do some Christmas shopping. I had the "warn when near" to 100yds. I drove past a "branch" office and the alert did not go off soI turned around and went there. It does have an ATM outside. Is this just for the remote ATM machines?

Call my stubborn. But I do not have the patients to read through all the FAQ's that are not on the subject that I have put in the search engine.
So can anyone tell me why the sounds and voices are listed but do not tell you how to download and install them? Is this something you must learn by trial and error or is there actually a place that explains it?

Does it update new businesses in the area or just road costruction? I have a target and bestbuy by me. Was wondering if it would find any other new constructed businesses.

I have quite a few .tlv POI files that I would like to use with the new unit.

Is there a converter or process to do this?

Is it possible to purchase Lifetime Map Updates for TomTom? There is nothing on the TomTom website and the listing on Amazon has very bad reviews.

Do I need to have a destination planned before I can usr the "warn when near POI"? I know how to set it so it makes a sound. I just didn't know if I can just set it to go off when I drive near the designated POI. I am referring mainly to Redbox and Navy Federal Credit Unions. Thank you.

Hello, and thanks first off for reading this which shows interest in helping me out. my problem is this, i downloaded from this site some POI icons to upload to my TOMTOM One XL.

With the other POI's I have to pick a city. How do I spot the rest areas driving cross country? Do I have to pick one in every state that I want to stop at?

I saw it listed, but didn't have my TomTom to upload it. Now I can not find it.

Does anyone know if there is a conversion for this type of installation to save me ripping out the existing mount as I now have an xxl

I have put a POI on my VIA 1435. I have an Icon for it but can not find the icon on the TomTom or how to link it to the POI. I have read manual and PDF file and can not figure out how to do this. I have a couple other POI's that I would like to add Icons too. But can not for the life of me figure this out.

Some of our TomTom users reported an issue where OV2 files from POI Factory did not show POI icons en route and did not trigger proximity warnings when set to do so.

VersatileGuy was very helpful and did some research for us. He identified a technical issue with the ov2 skipper records that seems to have been the cause of these problems.
