POI projects

Need some general help.

I'm looking to update the files that I maintain and I've run into a snag. I made a file for O'Charley's Restaurants from a very good state by state listing they had on their web site. They have since changed their site to only have a Shop Locator and I can no longer get a full listing.

Looking to buy a dashcam with GPS built in.

Has anyone come across a unit that you can load the red light & Speed cameras into?

There is currently a file available called McAllister's Deli that hasn't been updated since 2008. I am almost finished with a new file with almost 100 more locations harvested directly from the corporate website. How should I go about submitting the new file?

Is it possible to get a website's data so I can create a POI file?

For example, northdakotarigmaps.com shows all the Oil Rigs Wells in the State of ND. How can I get all their data to I can create a POI file for my Garmin?

I am searching for a low overhead clearance POI file for my Rand Mcnally. I realize this must be a huge undertaking. I travel mainly Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.

Got caught in a bad stiuation once! don't want that again

I drive an big rig and would like to download a file that tells me were I can sleep for the night at an hotel that has parking.Does anybody know if this has been done.

I searched and only found one POI file for Menchies stores in Ohio. Is anyone else considering creating one for CA? Or would anyone else like for one to be available?

I installed the file to my Garmin Dezl 560 but doesn't alert me about the weigh station I approach. Set it to alert me 3 miles in advance

Any ideas?

Although I am sure this feature has been in EPE for a long time, I just now discovered it. It has been so valuable to me recently that I thought I should share it with others who use EPE.

Was wondering if there are any Generic sounds and icons? for example just a House icon. That type of thing.

The POI for red lights in Toronto is outdated. Where do you go to post removal of Red light cameras and post missing ones?

After testing a couple of stores in Michigan and three in St. Louis, Garden Ridge is officially changing its name to At Home. It will spend $20 million this year to convert all of its 71 stores in time for the holiday shopping season, including six in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Does anyone know why evertime I use extra POI editor I get a "Script" error code. It has the same "line 14" and character "314" error message everytime.

It seems to be caused when it inserts the map into the lower left box.

I have to hit "Yes" 3 times before the error message is eliminated.

I've created a POI listing of mechanics who specialize working on VW TDI cars. The list was created from http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=130044. I'll get this POI loaded soon and will post a link in this thread. Stay tuned.

Someone had posted a POI file way back in 2007 and since then the POI file has been dormant. Locations had been closed, new ones opened and some locations were in the wrong place etc.

I updated and corrected this and copletely redid the POI file. I also sent the original POI creator a PM quite some time ago asking whether he wanted me to take it over and never got a reply.

Using POI loader, I loaded a mypoi.csv file and a mypoi.gpx file to my Nuvi 1350. Neither of these files alert me to rlc or speed camera. How do I delete these files from the Nuvi.

It was last updated in 2011 and i know there have been a lot of new stores since them
