How do I update a POI file

Just click on "My account" in the upper right (under your member name); then click on the "Track" tab; select the file you want to edit; click the "edit" tab. Then just resubmit the revised file in the “Replace with an updated file” field.

POI Loader is a free application at the Garmin web site. It allows you to remove old and install new POI files quite easily.

Run the software after installing it.

It will prompt you where the POI file(s) are. And there are 2 options to run:
Express - it'll load everything from the specified folder.
Custom - You can pick and choose which you POI to be loaded.

If you only have 1 POI file, then it won't make any difference which option.

As an adverturist, I also choose Custom so to see what are my options. The good thing about it is that there is always a default. So if you don't change any default value, it works the same as Express.

It also has 2 options: whether to add a new one or delete everything on your Garmin and start loading all. If choosing deleting everything, the POI Loader will exit after deleting all POIs in the Garmin. You just have to run it again.

Thank you for the information, it worked perfectly. I now updated the POI file, it now has Contact Info included.
