I'm surprised no one has created a POI file for yoga studios. Any takers?

Does anyone know if there has been a POI file for expressway and bridge/tunnel toll booths? I keep thinking that a POI file that could alert me when I was appraching a toll booth would REALLY be benifical. Especially if that file contained an idea of the charge for a car or truck. That would really be helpful for my various future trips.

Does anyone know where I can find a POI file of toll booths throughout the US?

After consulting with Miss POI I am going to upload a starter file for Mom & Pop family restaurants. There will probably be a few that have specialized menus such as Italian or Mexican, but I am trying to keep the list predominately non chain privately owned restaurants that have a varied menu and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The web site http://www.roadsideamerica.com now has software to access their database and create POI files.

I've always been a fan of the site and thought others may enjoy it!!

Was there a POI done for privately owned family restaurants?

Does anybody know where I can find gps maps of Nicaragua and Costa Rica? I'm going there in a couple of weeks, and I'll be driving rental vehicles. I would like to pre-load my Nuvi 265wt or 650. Thanks for any info you can provide.

On the home page it says 1000000 poi's.
That was over a year ago.

After downloading the waterfalls.zip (all US), I was massaging the data in Excell to make all the names unique (to work around that Magellan feature). In doing so, I noticed between 6 and 8 duplicates - same coordinates and same name. Not sure if this is an issue, but thought I would mention it.

I noticed that someone uploaded a POI called "Road Trip West", to me it was a personal POI file, with someones personal favorite locations.

I have purchased a POI list on a SDram chip. The file is in GPI format. The Streetpilot C330 does not accept anything in the SD slot other than maps and the POI loader program doesn't accept GPI format.

Can anyone tell me how I can upload the GPI file to the C330?

Miss POI

Is there anybody out there who would want to work on putting together a list of mountain bike trails in OREGON and start gathering info for a POI file? These are what we really need. Anything else you can find with a GPS, some trails are hard to find unless you have directions.

NUVI GPS -

Please, how do you turn OFF the alerts without losing the POI itself? I loaded POI's w/alerts but upon turning off the alert feature the POI doesn't appear onscreen.

Is there a way to re-load the POI's without alerts or modify the existing POI's to remove alert feature?

I am routinely uploading a South Korea .gpx file. It has interesting POIs not already loaded on the Garmin Korea v7 database. There are only a handful of points, but I know there are quite a few of us running around the ROK with GPSs.

So, please add any content you feel would be useful or interesting -- anything from resorts, sightseeing locales, campsights, good shopping, etc, etc.

I am new to this .Is there a way to locate POI's by states? I found the rest areas, restaraunts etc, but if it doesn't have my state then it is really a waste of space for me. Please help if you can
