POI projects

I have worked diligently for two months – er, uh two weeks – would you believe two days on the Low Clearance File. The one listed appears to be a combined listing of Walmart No Overnight Parking and Low Clearances. I have taken several files that gave lat and lon’s, combined them and removed all dupes.

Just a few hours away from completing the Buckle clothing store POI for the US. I should be posting it later tonight

According to this article, Office Depot will be closing 126 under performing stores over the next 3 months. Looks like Jacksonalan will be busy keeping up with the changes to the POI file:

Miss POI

I'd like to create, or use, a POI file with mine locations. The Garmin topo maps already have it but I'd like to see this kind of information on my other devices. There are so many mines though (at least in Colorado) that it would take a long time to enter them all manually.

This POI that is posted is missing alot of dealers. I uploaded it my uncles GPS in Illinois and It has no dealers near him when in fact there a a bunch. I am going to try to make a new POI with all in the US for Kaw riders that travel and may need it.

I dont see that anyone has done POI on Marathon Gas stations yet, so I am thinking of doing one. I just got my Marathon Gas card and they give you 5% cash back on all Marathon purchases. With the economy today every savings helps. Is anyone else interested in this POI?

I just uploaded 2 POI files representing the 16 Country Cookin' restaurants in Virginia.

They serve via a menu and buffet. I recommend the pot roast. Served Fri, Sat, & Sun.

Is there any bike trails or bike path routs for Arizona or phoenix.

I am looking for a volunteer to assist with the maintenance of the Apple bee's file. Clint45 has found some new locations that need to be geocoded and entered into the file. He is a bit busy and wants to make it a team effort.

I have compared your new file for ST. Louis parks with your old one located here: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/13916 and it looks like the new one is missing about 200 locations that the other file has. Let me know what your intentions were with the new file.

WE should also start a POI listing BY state.

Thank-you for posting this POI. I noticed some States are incorrect. For example, based on the coordinates, Exeter is in NH, not Montana. These errors were easy to spot as I kept only the east coast (anything east of -88.5).
