DALLAS - Officers and firefighters who run red lights will soon have to face the music to the tune of a $75 fine.

There was a story on the local news that Red Light Cameras have been declared unconstitutional since they ticket the owner unless he proves he wasn't driving the car. This violates civil rights as declared by a local judge. I am not sure if this will impact other states or not. I created a simple Excel VBA module that asks the user for the lat, long of a map area (the upper left and lower right corners of a rectangle), and extracts only red light cameras from the master red light file that fall within this map area.

Then, it uses jpbrannigan's GPX file converter and builds a RedLightCameraExtract.gpx file which can be imported into MapSource.

According to the North Richland Hills city news letter delivered today (April 6, 2007), "...will begin its new Red Light Photo Enforcement Program in April...at the intersection of Mid-Cities Blvd and Rufe Snow Drive...". "Following a 30 day warning period, $75.00 civil citations will be sent to the registered owners..." yada,yada,yada. "...to reduce accidents and improve safety..."

I have a camera bmp that I'd like to get working as a transparent one in my Zumo. In fact, there's a bunch that I'd like to get working. For some reason, many that I've modified using the magenta trick that Garmin supports seem to work, but others don't. I don't know why!

how do i donwnload from this website and upload to my new Garmin C330? I want to upload all red light cameras in brampton/toronto?

Also how do i configure speed alerts on my C330? Is this possible to do it?

We have some speed cameras in our area that would be great to add to the list but aren't currently there.

I downloaded the POIs for redlight camera and speed traps. How do I activate them or are they automatically turned on when I get near these POI?

I was just wondering exactly how people are doing the research to find the cameras. It seems like just driving around to find them is not a very good idea!

I was in Memphis TN over the weekend and saw dozens of Redlight cams not in the database. Just FYI. I wish I had marking software installed in my GPS so I could have added a few to the database.

Are the red light camera listing available for the state of pennsylvania..???

I found a site spray123.com that selling photoblocker which sounds a new stuff that will prevent your auto being red-light photoed. Anyone heard about this product? does it work? does it legal?

This is not an official list of speed trap locations in DC, but rather a list of locations which apparently had a very large number of tickets issued for speeding.

To me, this would extrapolate into reliable "Speed Trap" information.

What/where are "Speed Cameras" We have tons of discussion about the "red light" cameras but virtually nothing for "speed cameras". Do they not exists? Do they not exist for the same reasons? How can they be identified? Do cities announce them?

I have loaded the red light poi to my Garmin Nuvi 350. Should I see icons on the screen where they are located? What will the unit do when I approach one of the locations?
