In dash GPS wins, well yesterday it did

I have an in dash Garmin based GPS (430n) in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler. It works as expected and POI's can be loaded, albeit painfully.

Vehicles with Lifetime GPS Maps

I am thinking about getting a new truck soon and I am wondering if any of the manufacturers of 1 ton pickups have GPS with lifetime maps. Currently my Ford wants $150 for an update which I refuse to pay.

I would also like to be able to upload POIs.

Why is the POI Factory website listed as 'NOT SECURE'?

Why is the POI Factory website listed as 'NOT SECURE'?

Most every website has long-since moved to a secure HTTPS protocol, however this site is still HTTP (Insecure). It should be HTTPS (Secure).

"Your connection to this site is not secure.

Have you guys ever gotten a "special dividend?"

I can't really think of any. I remember seeing Costco was giving shareholders $7/share and thinking wow, that is good stewardship. They pump success/monies back at the stakeholders.

If you're a hit man, take off your Garmin watch

If you're a Hit Man, it's a good idea to remove your GPS watch. LOL

maps for computer

I have an 11 inch laptop with a GPS. I would like to have US road maps on my computer that I can use offline and that I can add POI's to.
Google maps only let you download a small area. Any idea where I can download a road map of the USA?

Roav Bolt Vs. Roav VIVA Vs. Roav VIVA Pro

I know that Roav is an Anker brand. I have some Anker cables and chargers they are good quality. I have seem the Roav products in Wal-Mart and Best Buy, but Ihave no experience with them. Is anybody here using one of these? If so, how well do they work? Is it essentially the voice from Google Maps?

Your GPS dies, do you buy another?

I've thought about this recently. I have and maintain 3 Garmins, for myself, spouse, and parents. What would I do if the Garmins start to no longer function?

Moderator; can we resolve to improve log-in for 2019????

One thing I note is if I've been absent for what is a relatively short period, probably 36 to 48 hours, I have to input my User Name to log on. If I'm on daily, it seems to be retained. Is there a setting to control the interval or can it be a 2019 resolution to lengthen this time?

Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – January 2019

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
