Barn Badge?
Did I miss something? What is the barn badge? Is that something new? I don't remember noticing that before and I don't see it listed in the Badges FAQ thread.

Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – September 2018
In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

John McCain
Regardless of Party affiliation (or none, if you're like me), let's pause a moment, think of John McCain and all he's done for the country, and offer condolences to his family and friends.
I saw him only once, at a Memorial Day ceremony in Flagstaff AZ.
Although I doubt this needs to be written, let's honor him by keeping this discussion positive.

Personally I prefer high speed E-ZPass to cashless tolling.
The inherent difference is that with the former, there is still an option to pay cash if someone wants to.

Urban Meyer Gets Three Game Suspension
For his failure to disclose the facts about one of his coaches physically abusing his wife, Urban Meyer only gets a three game suspension. This shows the lack of fundamental ethics on both the part of Ohio State and the NCAA.

I finally got a dash cam
It's the ROAV A1. I have to say for $56, it seems quite functional. I am even going to try mounting it in the rear just to see how it would work. I used to want a permanent one, but why spend almost $500, when it will be outdated in 1 yr.?

Will your "atomic" clock or watch soon stop updating?
I ran across this discussion in the weather related WXForum (wxforum.net). I know POI Factory members have had discussions about the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) WWV and WWVB radio broadcasts from Ft. Collins, CO that are used to update radio-controlled clocks commonly marketed as "atomic" clocks and watches.

This week we're recognizing, Eaglesft!
Eaglesft has been with POI Factory for a little over 4 years!
In that time he's amassed a sizable number of POI files to maintain, updating two of them and creating an additional file just this last week.
Thanks Eaglesft for continuing to create and maintain new POI files for our community!

What to do with downloaded .csv files
I've downloaded several .csv POI files that I use in Google Maps. Sometimes if the .csv file has a column D I must delete that column before Google maps will accept the file because column D has special characters or is to long.
So what mapping program do you guys use that support these .csv files?

How many married 50 or more years?
Since we seem to be a senior bunch here at the Factory, I wonder how many of us have been married (to the same person) for at least 50 years? I'll go first. For my wife and I it'll be 51 years the end of October.

recommendation for best device for POI's
Looking for device thats easy to use and can store a large amount of POI's. just want to use for POI's. dont plan on using as GPS just looking for sightseeing/unique POI's in local areas as we travel through.
