Digmine Cryptocurrency Bot Spreads Via Facebook Messenger

The Trend Micro security company announced that it found a new cryptocurrency-mining bot, "Digmine," spreading through Facebook Messenger.

The bot first appeared in South Korea and has since spread to Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, and Venezuela. Trend Micro believes that at the rate it’s spreading, it should reach many more countries soon.

New York State to Introduce Net Neutrality Bill

New York State is planning to craft its own net neutrality law in the wake of the FCC's repeal of the popular rules. New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is already conducting an investigation into the millions of bogus comments filed in support of the repeal; an investigation the FCC is refusing to cooperate with.

Lawmakers Pledge CRA Vote to Reverse Net Neutrality Repeal

Lawmakers like Chuck Schumer are promising a vote to use the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to block the Trump FCC's attempts to kill net neutrality. The FCC voted 3-2 along party lines to kill popular net neutrality protections, though the agency now faces a challenging legal assault by those claiming the agency engaged in numerous process fouls while also ignoring the will of the public.
