more and more (dash cams)

I think we should just have dash cams always rolling and then don't think about them. Today, maybe it's late Nov., raining, and windy. But everyone was angry driving in parking lots, 100% straight goods, for no reason. I saw a woman throw up her arms at the gym, I guess because she was backing out and another woman went to her car parked next to her? I mean no other possible reason, nobody did anything? lol
At the supermarket, my wife turns into a parking spot that she was waiting for, and some woman is yelling at her (in the comfort of her car but I saw her jaw going--when I was 18 I woulda been out of the car but times have changed) I suppose because the SUV is long and takes two tries to get in? lol
100% dead serious. The pressure cooker we live in leads to accidents. And I think it makes sense to have video backup.
cameras
Many cars now come with built in cameras...
Besides the mandated Reverse camera in the US... many cars have forward cameras for lane assist and active cruise control....
I wish the manufacturers added a small HDD to loop record driving... accidents, etc
I have a Rexing V1.. not too much money- no brainer to show what happened if there is an accident
it seems
that a good portion of society doesn't behave as if they are being recorded in HD. I mean this started in say the Walmarts and Targets of the world many years ago maybe 20? There was an assumption that one does not shoplift as what would be the point? And that one could be tracked all throughout the store and that patterns were being studied as far as how to best place goods for sale.
The sheer anger that we encounter day in day out imho does make a cam a no-brainer. And if it records 99.999% of the time what is deemed useless footage, that's fine!
What about body-cams?
We could go a bit further. Why not have a body-cam recording what happens in our everyday lifes? Now with the memory cards starting to hold terabytes, you could probably record a days worth. Then if anything bad happens around you it will be on video. And of course if everybody have body-cams, everything will be documented.
Believe I'm not for this to happen, but the technology to make it possible will be here soon, or probably already is.
I read about some people are actually doing this as a project to document their whole life.

Technology what it is, I'd like to have some kind of camera that sees exactly what my eyes see, so many times I take a photo and it just doesn't what I actually saw justice.

My dash cam is on 24-7, unless I'm retrieving a portion of the days travels I want to see/use/share. The thing only has capacitors, no battery, so leaving it plugged in doesn't drain my jeeps battery. Where I park at night my Jeep faces my back door just across an alleyway so it's like having home security, at least in the rear of the house.

Whole life document.

In my case, that would be a pretty damned BORING movie. Maybe they could use it as torture by forcing prisoners to watch it.

Which cars have dash cameras
Which cars have dash cameras as standard or optional equipment?
I like that idea
Kinda like store security, have a loop to be able to see accidents would really help determine fault.
just yesterday
I parked on the street in Phila.
Before leaving, I went into a shop that was kitty corner from my car, and I noticed cam 6 was looking directly at my car.
If anything happened, or if PPA told me I didn't pay, etc., there is 1080p video of my car for 3 hours.
I love it. The only person who would not is someone who is shady. My dash cam is also there if the car gets bumped. I think the days of cars getting broken into because electronics like the cam are showing, are gone. Half the time the electronics can be tracked by gps if stolen.
btw I asked a PPA person how do you write tickets? She was a bit skittish as I think they are used to being yelled at. She showed me--they scan the plate with their handheld, and it tells them if the car is paid or not. I think the next step is they still have to look if there is a receipt on the dash as all zones are not on the new kiosks yet.
I'm for video everything. I kinda say not in the locker room, but at the same time, we're all adults, you can't have a "safe place" to hide out and do illegal things. Has to be blanketed coverage. I mean locker room yes, bathroom no. So general areas of locker room yes.
