not secure?

I was glancing through my spam, and one caught my eye because it said I know your password is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

It went on to say I know you did this and that and I have placed malware and you should send $xxxxx.xx to etc etc

I thought wait a sec that's a real pwd, but where do I use it?

I use it here.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas to everyone. This past year has been extremely difficult for all. I pray that the new year will bring happiness to everyone and that this pandemic is put in our rear view mirrors.

Happy Holidays!

I am starting my holidays early and may not get back on until after Christmas!
I would like to wish all of you a happy holiday season and hope you and your loved ones are safe and sound and I for one look forward to putting 2020 behind me!

tire chains

we had a storm last Wednesday night, Thursday morning.

A lot is melting now, and I noticed the USPS is driving around with tire chains.

Isn't this irresponsible? Imagine the damage to our roads, and the vibration to their vehicles when they are driving normal speeds, 35-50 mph.

And I read they buy $1,400 Snap On floor jacks.

GPS Passion forum gone?

Many of us who are regular's here have also participated in other forums that are targeted to GPS enthusiasts, and often these other forums have been mentioned in our posts here on POI Factory. One of the forums that gets referred to quite often is GPS Passion (www.gpspassion.com). If fact, one of our members, T923347, has been a moderator over there.

Quick math question/quiz

My son was born when I was 30 years old.

When he was 1, I was 31, so he was 1/31 or 3.2% of my age.
When he was 5, I was 35, so he was 5/35 or 14.3% of my age.
When he was 15, I was 45, so he was 15/45 or 33.3% of my age.
He is now 30, and I am 60, so he is 30/60 or 50% of my age.

How old will he be when our ages are the same?

Do you use smart devices?

Really I did not want them due to security, but once we got new HVAC the thermostat is online, so that opened the door. I have the smart devices on a guest network, not our regular wireless SSID.

Now we have smart light bulbs and smart outlets.

I am trying to limit the vendor so they can be handled with one app, or for security with the hopes they have it.

Brave Browser

Have been trying out the new Brave browser on my Windows 10 laptop. https://brave.com/download/ . Seems to do a good job blocking ads and trackers. Haven't notice a lot of speed difference compared to Microsoft Edge on the laptop. Did improve speed and performance on the Android tablets and phone.
