Logitech Discontinuing Harmony Remote Control Products

I just thought I would pass along this information to those who use Logitech Harmony remote control products for their AV equipment.

Logitech has been the industry leader in this field for many years and in April of 2021, they announced the Harmony line would be discontinued.

skyrocketing prices / CD sold on eBay

I had forgotten that I listed a 3 cd set on eBay in June 2020.

The face value of the CD set was $28, I bought for $60. There were other ones going for $120 at the time, so I listed mine at $190 plus $12 shipping. Forgot all about it.

Yesterday, an email came it was sold.

call centers cust svc

I had to call the wireless provider because I made a change back in Dec that was supposed to lower my cost and it went up for 1 mo. pro-rata. i.e. I called 12/19, and was asked, do you want it effective 12/14, or 1/14. I said 1/14, but rep came back and said you'd pay $19 less if 12/14, so I said ok.

Funny how we used to cringe, oh man will have to speak with someone offshore.

GPS battery in the more extreme weather

Its been getting quite cold where I live - this morning its around 20F. It might have been even colder overnight.

Do any of you take the GPS out of the car to keep it warm? Does that help extend the life of the battery?

What about summer heat?

Honorable Mentions for COY 2021

We received this email from Mahoney...

"I was sitting here thinking about how lucky I have been in receiving votes from my fellow maintainers and contributors.

Instead of just commenting on the Contributors of the year forum, I would like to propose that each person that was nominated be awarded an "honorable mention".".

We agree!

I love that so many people were recognized by their fellow community members! Thanks to all who voted!

Unsurprisingly, our top vote getter once again, is Mahoney!

He is the unofficial heart of POI Factory!

what's your new year's desire?

O what's your desire for this new year? I'll be thankful for an end to the pandemic and another year of staying above ground for two.

Why are amazon bundles cheaper than item alone?

I have three examples.

Just two days ago, I bought Turbo Tax Deluxe + State.

I've been watching since Thanksgiving, and it's $49.99. Online anywhere, and at Costco in the store.

On Wednesday, I see $39.99. Great, I'll save $10.
