Never argue with a pig. It makes you look foolish and it anoys the hell out of the pig!

Yes an ASAP update

This is a nasty vulnerability, by all accounts. Usually operating system updates should be done when you have a chance in the first month after they come out, but this one should be done on the eligible Apple devices as soon as possible.

LOL ..... Yeah, it was a great PR campaign ...... many believed it..... and media supported it .... and if you recall, all on-air equipment was supplied by Apple. Many good people at Apple to develop/spread this image ..........

More people are now aware of all/many equipment shortfalls regardless of the company ....or PR campaigns around it. Shouldn't be a surprise to most .........

I don't

normally care about these things, as I was on 14.8 and struggle with having any space at all on my phone.

But when my co. sent a corp-wide email stressing this update, I did it to my iPhone and my wife's.

Funny I deleted apps to get down to 60/64 gb.

When the update completed and I reinstalled apps, I was at 58 gb of 64 gb.

I truly believe this is one inefficient OS.

Not sure

I'm not an Apple fan nor have I ever used any Apple product, but I think that at least about whose servers are getting regularly hacked, they're not Apple's. On the other hand, when some bad guys steal a half million user records, invariably it's from an MS server. It's interesting that when Apple finally did get hacked they owned it, publicized it, and developed fixes for it.

"No misfortune is so bad that whining about it won't make it worse."

As I understand it, though I could be wrong,

they (meaning Apple), were concerned about government and high profile individuals getting hacked. From what I read the chances of someone in East Boofoo getting hacked was extremely small. But, it does seem like when Apple is made aware of a problem, they try the get it fixed ASAP!

Not really. Equifax security breach in 2017 was related to Apache servers (runs on Linux/Unix servers) vulnerability. Most servers on the internet are not Microsoft servers.

Thanks

"You can't get there from here"

so far

no downside to the update. If anything, I have more free space than before on my 64 gb phone.

AND, for some reason, I can track UPS again using Safari.
