Garmin is pleased to announce that new software is available for the STPc340,Am.
The new software is: StreetPilot c340 Ver. 3.90
Changes made from version 3.70 to 3.90:
* Updated for United States Daylight Saving Time change

I was a little scared/ticked when I found that my DST didnt work on my brand new garmin c530 (a week old). Well, thank god it was resolved in my update.

Just curious. Did you find out by looking on Garmin's website or did Garmin send you an email? I have signed up for update notifications at Garmin, but have never received a notification from them.
I usually get notified by reading the discussion boards here!

So far, I haven't rec'd any email updates from them either.
I just connected my C340 to the WebUpdater and it says "no updates available". I have version 3.70

Garmin Email Updates
I thought it was me or something since I signed up for Garmin updates nearly two years ago and have never received a single one.
Oh well, I guess maybe at some point they will get that corrected.

I didn't realize you have to download it to your PC first. Live and learn and update to newer version.

Upgrade
Hummm... Never done an upgrade before. I'm assuming this will erase all my poi's along with my hacked start up screen..... Am I correct on this, is this an OS Flash?

Thanks, I like this board, seems very friendly and knowledgable as Roy's is. I am not sure how many ppl have GPS on that board. I am trying to see if we have any zombies here like we do on Roy's (V1 zombie for instance)...lol. Since they only have a Garmin section, I would say yes...lol.
I haven't read the GOL tests yet, been too involved in my GPS. I sorta jump around with my in depth obessions and right now I am on my GPS kick...lol.

Garmin c340 emails
I have signed up twice for Garmin to email me updates. I thought the 1st one did not go through, but now I know that it is there just for show. As far as customer service, everytime I have called with a question, either before or after buying the c340 I was given good answers from patient customer service reps.
