csv vs gpx

 

I found a tool for converting .csv formated poi's to .gpx but the only difference I could tell was a much larger file. Are there any benefits to converting to a .gpx file format?

If you have a bluetooth capable unit

You can use gpx files to create your POIs with dialable phone numbers.

Importing to MapSource and

Importing to MapSource and other software packages usually require gpx format. Sometimes it's nice to see points on a big screen instead of on the itty bitty GPS screen.
