With the Garmin POI's, they have them neatly sorted into category folders: Auto, Restaurants, etc.
Is there a way to mimic this with customer POI's? For example, if I went into my custom poi folder I see all the .csv files I've downloaded. Could I create a folder called Restaurants, for example, drag all my restaurant .csv files into it, and when downloaded onto my 360, hit Custom POIs, and there would be a button for Restaurants; I would press that, and all my restaurant files would be there?
Wanted to get some feedback before a actually tried that....don't want to screw up a good thing .

You can use multiple folders with most Garmins (although they have had problems with some models). Doing a search of this website should bring up several links. one being http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1297.
Yes, that's the way it works. Sometimes firmware needs to be updated to accomplish this. My C330 required that update before it handled folders properly. You may not need to do this
I asked Garmin that exact question just a day ago. They told me that the Nuvi (680) can NOT use folders for Custom POIs. My StreetPilot 2720 DOES have the folders and that is why I asked.
I suspect someone here has a secret way of making folders, ha ha.
Seems strange that the Nuvi 680 (the latest model) can't use folders but all the rest of the Nuvi line can. Can anyone confirm that?
I Do Know for sure that the sub folders do work on the sp 2720 Sp C340 and also my Buddy says they work on his SP 2610
