Overwriting

I'm new to the site and plan to spend time catching up. But I have two "novice user" questions I'd appreciate answers to in order to save time digging for answers right away.

Am I correct in assuming that when I download a custom POI I don't overwrite anything on my preloaded system? For example, if I downloaded a theoretical POI called "Science Museum" and there was something by that name preloaded, my download wouldn't create a conflict... right?

My second question is, how do I find a downloaded POI? If it's a great new restaurant, will I find it when I search under "Food" on my StreetPilot C340? Or will I have to type in the restaurant's name and search?

This looks like a great site, and one I'll spend considerable time perusing. Thanks to everyone who have posted POIs.

1. Custom POIs are completely separate from preloaded POIs so there is no conflict.
2. To find downloaded POIs you go to the Custom POI menu and (if you loaded your POIs through subfolders), you select the appropriate sub category and then select the POI file. You can also do a search under the Custom POIs. The search from the main area i.e. Food, will not show your Custom POIs, only the built in ones.

Conflicts

I'm not sure how custom POIs work, but I've noticed that the nuvi recognizes waypoint conflicts and adds a number to the end of a saved waypoint if you try to give it a name already in use.
