I didn't even know there was such a thing as Contributors Of The Week here. Cool! smile

I'm just glad this site exists to help me keep the old Garmin going. I'm pretty sure I learned how to change the battery right here years ago, when I had to do it the first time. The person who had the instructions for that definitely deserved some recognition, but I can't even find the post that taught me why and how to do this anymore.

The 255W's battery doesn't have to be completely dead for it to be defective. As the battery starts to age, it will cause frequent and random reboots of the device. Putting in a fresh battery fixes the problem.
