Ok, so what is everyone's opinion about what a chipset really is. I hear people talking about upgrading to get the G chipset (which I am under the impression it is the same as the siirf chipset).

In my opinion a chipset is a set of circuits, not software that can be updated from firmware, perhaps I am wrong, what do you all thing?

Probably a dumb question, but how do you put a link to a photo on this forum? In layman's simple language.

When you Update to 2008 does it overwrite the Ver 8 Maps in the unit or not because of after my update i went to settings and about and the version 8 is listed and so is the nt 2008

I was in Paris not long ago and got into a cab which had a GPS unit. I told the driver where I wanted to go and he pulled out a directory, about 2 inches thick, looked up the hotel, punched in about 4 to 5 numbers and off we went. I figure it must be something like a telephone directory for use with a GPS device. Probably loaded with a POI file indexed to the numbers in the directory.

as u have read and seen on tv, ok has been hit by a real ice storm. over 1/2 million out of power. trees down and blocking many roads. my gps showed me many different routes arond blocked streets. i never thought id love to hear the voice of my c530 girl friend say "recalculating".

Hi folks, This is my 1st post and it's a question that has maybe already been discussed before but I'll ask it anyway. When I try to download a file like 'California State Parks' my computer says it doesn't recognize the CSV file and Can't open it,any suggestions?

How can I delete files that I was tracking from my account.

Decatur, IL -- A Sonoma County, CA, judge has ruled a speeding case supported by an officer's radar cannot be thrown out because the speeder's GPS system allegedly contradicted the radar speed.

I just received my 2008 City Navigator Update today. Is there anything during or after installation I should be aware of. I am asking because I may have missed something of importance in a previous post.

Would anyone know how to download the different icons or sound for certain downloads..... for example .... red light camera

I'll be taking the site down for a few minutes to install security updates for our web platform.
