I am continuously finding answers to my questions in forum postings. I just found another one today to the "Better Route" question that I recently asked... The result of finding these answers in the forum has created somewhat of a reluctance on my part to ask any questions. Just makes me wonder...

if i buy two automobiles, and i want a CD player installed in each automobile- should i have to buy two CD players?
if I buy two computers- just the towers. and i want a monitor for each computer, should i have to purchase two monitors? or should i get one for free?

just curious how people think.

I'm a long time GPS receiver user, starting out from the Garmin eTrex (yellow) and the rest is history.

However, I'm quite new to Custom POI, because I haven't really had a great need for it. Friend recommends this site, and I found something quite interesting.

Wondering if there is a 'trick' to loading two maps (Greece and Japan) at the same time from mapsource to my 680. If I transfer one map to the gpsr, then when I go back and transfer the second map, the first one disappears from the gpsr, just like when you load poi's. If I load both maps into the map 'box' of Mapsource, then they both show up with the same title as the first one I transferred.

How can you back-up/copy your favorites and transfer them to another nuvi? I don't see a favorites file.

Can anyone recommend a good program for transferring downloaded maps to my Garmin gps?

It seems I've seen this before but I cannot find the thread. Do custom icons show up in simulation mode. I don't believe they do but I need to be sure.

I have a garmin nuvi 350 and LOVE IT!! My boss has come to me wanting to purchase gps units for our company and would like a good basic gps unit - he'd like to keep it between 2-300 (we will probably be getting like 5 of them)

I am interester in what all I can do with my NUVI 680

I just went to the redlight page and downloaded the enforcement camera file. I notice that there are two icons available, one for speed and one for redlights. Does the enforcement file contain both speed and redlight cameras? If not, where do I find the speed file?

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

Someone suggested that I try poi2go at http://www.poi2go.com/mypoi/. Has anyone used this program and if yes did you get the results you expected?It looks like it may have some limit use.

Looking for a way to listen to my mp3's w/o going thru the FM modulator. it sounds like crap.

my truck stereo deck does not have an ipod type input jack nor do i have an AUX channel. i have an amp connected to my deck via RCA pre-outs. the amp only has ONE RCA input.
