It is fun to find our community featured in blogs and on other sites.

I at one time thought that I had seen additional voices available for the nuvi 660. For the life of me I can not find any mention of these on this forum or on the Garmin website. Can anyone help me in this endeavor. I want to try some voices other than Jill, as I really don't understand her too well.

I recently bought a Garmin 660, after purchasing and returning the $200 MOI, best return i ever made, anyways i do love the 660 and especially the fact that i can tie it in to my car stereo.

i just got the nuvi 200 w this week. i followed the poi loader instructions and saved it ok. i tried to save a file in my computer and it is there but when i browse with poi loader it is not there. i tried the e-85 file three times what am i doing wrong?

I was driving yesterday to meet friends who were going to give me a ride to Ft Meyers to play in a senior softball tourn. I ran into a traffic jam on I-75 and lost my ride and now had no idea on how to get to the field. I then remembered someone saying the field was next to the minn. twins spring ball park. wow!

I was on vacation out of the country for 3 weeks. I lost my hard-earned windmill. Guess I must to crank up to gain it back.

Ok so I have been playing with Mapsource and have come up with 3 routes to get me home from Vegas. The route through CO is still the shortest. But I am think it is going to be the one to give me the most trouble if a storm comes in. Below is that option with the 2 others.

Vegas to HOME: 1755 mi 1 day 2:57:44 This is the Route through Colorado. Which we already said is a no go.

Can anyone make an icon of a forklift truck? Possibly a black background with a forklift outline or something like that.

I can't seem to find one anywhere and don't have the time or knowledge to make one.

Is anyone still maintaining this file http://www.poi-factory.com/node/4307 ? I find it very useful and would like to see it updated once in awhile.

I am traveling to Italy and borrowed the marcopolo southern europe POI for my nuvi 350 from a friend. The unit will read the gpi file from the SD card, but does not ask if i want to load the file to the unit. I do not want to take the card with me for fear of losing it, but the only way it seems to work is using the original SD card.

Price is $499.99 plus S&H. I bought one.

Has anyone experienced a problem when using POI Loader. When I launch POI Loader it changes my screen resolution to a "fuzzy" look.

I'm a victum of GPS theft. I've even started a web site on this problem. My Garmin has a pin code. I know that if I keep it in the open, someone will steal it; Even though it's useless when they do.

I HATE having to keep taking the GPS down when I park. What could be done to keep thieves from stealing these? Let's brainstorm. Would be nice to lock it to the dash without it looking stupid.

Received my Nuvi 750 with the objective of using my existing GTM20 FM traffic and MSN direct receivers with it.

BUT the unit locks up when either the MSN Direct receiver or the FM traffic receiver is powered on.
Both receivers work on the respective Nuvi 6xx series. Unit (V2.2) and traffic receiver(s) microcode are current.

I have a Magellin Maestro 4040 that i got a few month back, overall its a great unit but i just heard about Navigon 7100. Besides free traffic report that comes with Navigon it has "photo-realistic 3D images of junctions" and "lane assistant". Can anyone tell me if Navigon is really that much better or just a useless sat-nav with cool features ))

Being a new member, I am searching for what I suppose are answers to old questions. I use my Vista C with my laptop. nRoute sees the GPS with no trouble. However Garmin's POI utility will not see the Vista C when attached with the same USB cable. Is this possible?
