Hello all, I just wanted to pop in and say what a great place you have. I really think I'm going to enjoy it here!

My Story:
1.) I bought a brand new Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS during black friday last year for $151.
2.) Mother still uses googlemaps/mapquest paper directions in addition to GPS today.

What is the best GPS that you can buy for under $200?
Best meaning relible, fast, snd accurate with the best maps. NAVETEQ maps sux. Roads that over two years old are missing in my area.

I don't know about your town but it's scary dead around these parts! I know so many of my friends that have been laid-off as well as my wife having her hours cut that it's not pretty. Combine that with the cost of fuel and groceries going up, I feel like I'm on a sinking ship here.

My Garmin Nuvi 780 is coming in a couple days. This is my firs GPS unit, and while I've used them a little, I don't know all that much about their more advanced features. I have several questions that will seem ridiculous to some, but here they are:

on my "old" nuvi 750 I would see the address and phone numbers for most POI's I imported, however on my new 265wt I don't have any of the address or phone number information when I access the custom POI's from the extra's menu...any ideas? Also, as I am a newer to the forum, please let me know if I have posted this in the wrong forum...

I'm so sorry if this is a repeat post. It seems like it would have already been covered by someone, but I just can't find the answer. I promise I've read the faq's and searched quite a few posts, but can't find the answer I'm looking for. I think my question is a simple one. My question is:

Does anyone have an idea what type of screen protector is best for a widescreen 4x3 I think they are? I bought one before and it did not cover the whole thing the way I thought it would.

I downloaded the csv but wasn't sure if I open or save it to my designated file.

I see bmp and mp3 files. I assume they download, but have not discovered how.

Hi everyone,
i wonder if there is a program where i can connect photo, video and mp3 to a specific poi.
Then afcouse i would like to have the info popup as soon as you pase the poi. Something like a tourguide.
Does it exisits?

I have a Magellan Roadmate 1200....all of the maps and POI are on a 1 GB SD card....the card has reached capacity.....how can I transfer that data to a 2GB SD card that I bought...in order to free up space for more POI's?
Unfortunately, simply copy - n - paste to the new card does not work...Roadmate does not recognize the new card??????

I have a Nuvi 660. How can I seperate the MP3 files to play by type or artist and play them on my unit?

Is may be just my imagination but I seem to be using my GPS more now than I did before......
Could be all the poi files that are so useful.
Anybody else feel this way?
I rely on the redlight and speed locations as well as the rest areas on a trip.

A girlfriend of mine got an Aviton GPS system. as on their website http://www.avitongps.com/ i myself have never heard of this brand and was wondering if any of you have heard of this?

she told me that it has redlight cam alerts and it even alerts her when she goes over the speedlimit.

I am new to this forum and to the GPS community.
I recently bought a Garmin 255W and now I find that I want to add poi's to my unit.
The first ones I would like to add are the new photo radar installations in montreal.
I am now on the look out for all POI's that have to do with photo radar, restaurants and other interesting things especially regarding Canada and Quebec.
