Slickdeals

If you use the site and find something at a brick and mortar you would like to buy and need to find out remaining stock....DO NOT CALL THE STORE!!!!!
It awares a clerk to a deal that they might not be normally aware of and they will tell you that's it's sold out.
Of course it is, they bought the remaining stock to sell on whatever/wherever.
Otherwise, it's a nifty site for some deals.

Tom

Great deal, thanks. I went

Great deal, thanks. I went to Dell, bought the TomTom 930T for 35% off @ $259...$279 after tax, free shipping. I like that it has the Europe map included, it makes the unit itself only cost about $150, when you consider the stand alone cost of the Europe maps, but the thing I dislike the most is that it has the suction cum traffic receiver that attaches to the windshield. I hate that. Wonder why they don't integrate it into the cig lighter, like Garmin.

Funny, I call and told them I wanted to cancel my order and they offered me an additional $30 off, not to cancel.

New computing announcements...

With the new cloud computing announcements, the hardware assemblers are re-inventing their businesses and repositioning themselves in the marketplace. I saw articles where Dell wants to sell its hardware assembly business.
