Cheese Cake Factory fix - turn off "Wrap text"
I downloaded the Cheese Cake Factory file. Thanks to msgreenf for the work gathering the information. Anyway only the first entry was loaded in to my Nuvi. I did have a error message from POI Loader stating it could not read the file after line 1.

Observation
My Garmin C550 is a money savings device for garage sales. Before I got the Garmin C550 I went to Mapquest to mop out my days route for garage sales. I now create a custom POI and use it to find the location of the garage sales. I noticed that at the end of the day I would be finished faster and I am saving gas (which is a good thing}.

Garmin .gpx files
I have created custom POIs in the past for my c550. I was dismayed that I could not "call" entries I created which had phone numbers. I have recently downloaded the latest version of POI Loader and have read the help file on entering address and contact information for waypoints via the .gpx extension.

POI Verifier v1.0.0.8
A batch of POIs have shown up with multiple quotes, both at the beginning and end of fields 3 and 4. This is probably due to an Excel user enclosing these fields in quotes, then Excel adding its own quotes. Version 8 finds and/or corrects these multiple quotes.
Example 1:
If field 3 or 4 is: """406 3rd Street"""
it will be changed to: "406 3rd Street"
Example 2:
If field 3 or 4 is: ""406 3rd Street""
a warning will be displayed to check a specified POI field for quote pairs using a text editor, not Excel. Excel may insert more unwanted quotes.
Download 'POI Verifier' here.
Note: Since most everyone is calling this program 'POI Verifier', that's what it will now be called!

POI Speed Trap Question for Garmin Users
I think I've figured this whole Garmin POI Speed Alert thing out. But I've noticed something that I didn't expect to react this way. I have a speed zone on the expressway that is marked 65 mph. The problem is that I don't want it to warn unless I'm traveling over 70 mph. This is what I have the speed zone set at on the Garmin unit currently and its not working as I hoped...

Breaking up the Post Office POI file
Anyone know a good way to make the post office POI file a little smaller? The Magellan 2200T (my first GPS so excuse my newbiness) has a limit on number of POI's per category and a limit on over all number of POIs. That file exceeds both of thos limits. Any thoughts on how to break it up... say by state... would be appreciated.

ViaMichelin website GPS export
I frequently use the via michelin website to plan for my european holidays. There is feature on the site which allows you to Export a list of "restaurants" via the "on GPS" function. The file created is .XVM. Does anyone know how to "convert" this file to be used as a POI for Garmin GPS?

Nuvi: where are POIs?
I've just downloaded some POIs and installed them on to my Nuvi, but I'm not finding them. I'm new to this, so perhaps I'm making a mistake?
Anyway, when I search for some of the sites that I've put into the Nuvi -- I'd like to make them into 'favorites' -- I'm getting a message back that they cannot be found. That's odd because I've looked at the CSV files, and they're certainly there.

Radio Station Info Site
This may be old news, but for the folks wanting to create specialized radio station POI's, the Website Find Radio Stations at http://www.findradio.us/ gives the station location in latitude and longitude in the form DD.mmmmm, just right for makin' them files.

Suggestion - Alpha Sort
It sure would be nice if the POI files were sorted alphabetically. It would make finding a particular file easier. i.e. there are 48 files in the Radio - ham category and if I want to find a particular state it could begin with "A" and still be four or five pages deep.
Thanks,
Bill

Custom Icom for Jellystone Park Camp Resorts
I want to have a custom icon for my Jellystone Park Camp Resorts POI files that are posted here. I can save .bmp files, but they don't show up on my Garmin Street Pilot 2730. I was wondering if anybody could create a .bmp file and we can add it to the list here. Possibly something like the one below.
POI Verifier. v1.0.0.9 Corrects Glitch
"Houston, we got a problem!"
After checking over 500 POIs with 'POI Verifier', I found a POI it won't parse correctly ...... so here's version 1.0.0.9 that corrects the problem. Download it at POI Verifier. It's still free.
