Rest Areas

Hi,
New to gps. I dowloaded the rest areas poi file together with icon and mp3 file. Also dowloaded the airports poi file. Transfered both to Nuvi 660. While I now see the airport location icons I don't see any rest area icons unless I navigate to one of them, then I see it. Any suggestions much appreciated.
Rest Area Icons
I have a Rest Area Icon for the Combined Rest Areas file and I set the proximity alerts for the Rest Areas to 1 mile.
The icon shows up everytime when I get within a mile of the entrances. I am on a 5500 mile driving trip, as we speak err: type, and no problems so far with the rest area alerts & icons. Have probably gone by 50-60 so far. Have noted one rest area missing in KY which I will correct in file when I get back from trip !
I'm VERY pleased with the POI file so far on trip !
BTW - my map scale is set to .8 miles.

I don't think you're seeing your "POI" icons

Are you sure you are seeing the icons for the airport poi file, or the default map icons for the airport. Temporarily remove the airport poi's from your 660 and I bet you'll still see the airports.
POI icons don't tend to show up unless you are zoomed in really really close, or they are triggered (proximity, speed, etc).
