I am interested in purchasing a used Nuvi 350's cheap. It must work and be in very good to excellent condition. Updated maps are not important as I can do that.

They liked it, but thought the 785T was a slightly better navigator and much better bargain.

This morning I noticed a retailer offering the lifetime maps for nuvi, on a preorder, for $109. Less than the garmin site.

It's my first post to POI Factory, glad to know there is a support group like this. I've been using my Quest 1 for the last 3 years and now have a new Nuvi 755T. I'd like to get all of my waypoints and routes copied from the Quest over to the Nuvi but don't quite know where to start. I have the Quest data saved to my PC in City Navigator 2008 version.

Well it was the time to upgrade the cell phone. I decided to stay with Sprint since I have such good service and a nice plan. Now comes the hard work; trying to find a phone that is on both Sprint's list and Garmin's list.

I'm considering buying a copy of this software. I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions on the product. Should I get the version with the GPS receiver? I have a Garmin 260. Can I transfer trip plans from this software into my Garmin 260? Thanks in advance for the advice.

is there a garmin that allows you to add custom streets? there are some roads in md that are being finished and i was wondering if there was a way to add roads on there... if not garmin.. i coulda sworn i read somewhere that you can add streets.

We returned yesterday fromj a trip from Peoria, IL to New Orleans and the French Quarter. Garmin found 3 state parks for us (we're traveling with a travel trailer). Then it took us to New Orleans via the causeway. Don't know how we traveled before Garmin

Ok, another addiction confession.

I'm so addicted that I maintain ... and travel with ... two GPS's ... a Garmin 260w and a Garmin I5.

Why?

Well, I'm so sold on GPS technology that I no longer even carry a map or atlas in my truck (even when I leave on an epic 6,000 mile trek through the USA and Canada).

I have come across many references to Mapsource on this forum. What is it and can I obtain a copy from Garmin free of charge if I have a good reason? Is it a DVD or a download?

It looks like Garmin dropped the white SUV vehicle from the garage. The only thing close is the TEAM GARMIN vehicle.

Does anyone know where I can get it back? I had it on my old unit, which went kaput a couple of weeks ago.

Is it possible to modify the destination flag to a custom made icon???

The new Nuvis (like the 265T) have animated vehicles, like the walking shoes or flying eagle. Has anyone heard or now anything about making custom animated vehicles?

I’m looking for some guidance from the group. I got a Nuvi 260 during the free give-away late last year via Amazon. I registered it in December 08 and got the update at that time. I regularly check for updates on the Updater. Since registering no up dates were available. The unit had

Garmin just released firmware updates for the 7x5 series. New MSNDirect features and better routing.

After years of owning Garmin units i was somewhat shaken by the fact my brand new out of the box Nuvi lasted a grand total of a MONTH. and died after an update using garmins webupdater. In contrast my V lasted 4 years, my 60CSX went strong until it was stolen and every cellphone ive ever used is still working or was working until i tossed it.

I just signed up for the RedLight and speed camera files. I downloaded them to my PC. Now I am going to load them to my custom POI folder.

I have a Streetpilot 340 with the last update map of 2008, which I bought and installed. Did not opt for the 2009 as I didn't see a need for it. When would you think the next update would be out, as I believe I need an update, but I didn't think it would be on the 2009 one.

HI, I have a couple questions for ya.

When downloading files to my NUVI 770, is it better to download them to a folder on my SD card or on the NUVI itself?

I have no idea how much room there is for storage on the NUVI.

I am guessing that it would be a faster search if it is on the NUVI, is that true?

One more question, sorry, I know these darn rookies....

I know that this questions has been posed before. However, the latest update for the Nuvi 350 does not look like it offer much of an advantage to updating. I gave my wife the 350 with the previous update and it works great. What is this lastest update going to offer? I hate to screw up a unit that has not had any problems. Would appreciate your input.
