What is important is what shows up in your map version screen.

What it means is the base map is a 2008 edition to which Garmin has applied their coding. The base map was produced by Navteq sometime during 2008 - it could be December for all we know and Garmin added their extras to produce the 2009 version you downloaded.

I have a 370 and it took hours to put both maps on my nuvi...now I know how to do it. Of course, I'll forget by the time the next quarter rolls 'round...oh well!
