Mapsource - where is the map data hidden?

I installed Training Center and then Mapsource, and then downloaded the new 2009.11 maps and installed them to my Nuvi. In the process the installer found Mapsource and installed the maps to it also, so I have full street level maps in Mapsource, not just the basemap.

But when I look at the directory that mapsource is in, it seems to be only a total of 157meg in size, too small for the Program and map data, and I don't see any file that would be the street level map data. worse, a search of the computer for large files does not find it.

I would really like to figure out where this data is, both because I want to be able to make good backups that don't skip critical data and because I'm not particularly happy about this much data somehow being hidden on my computer. Does anyone know where it is?

Mapsource is not using the original 1.91 gig download as it's live data, as I have already removed that and mapsource still sees street level maps.

By the way, the mention of this download size brings up another issue. What is in that file that is missing from what was installed on my gps, which only seems to have received a much smaller 1.1 gig map file and some tiny updated POI data?

In Vista this is where the new map version data is installed.

In Vista this is where the new map version data is installed. And the map data is broken into a lot of small files not one big one like is loaded onto the GPS.

Thanks

XP hides it elsewhere, but your response was enough to point me in the right direction to find it in XP, which (at least in my case) was in
