how to reset msn direct

Make sure the little green light is lit. Then, remove the plug from the lighter plug. On the side of the MSN plug is a tiny hole. You need to use a paper clip to press the little button inside and that should reset the MSN. If that doesn’t work, call MSN and they will walk you through setting it up again. And, I guess, it could be that the adapter is defective.

tryed it the green light is on and it powers up the unit but the msn direct is not working so i think its broke just got of the phone with garmin and they will send me a new on for free so that is a plus all i have to do is send them my broken one

garmin sent me a new GDB 50 and the msn butterfly is still not there the only other thing i could think of it the the docking station is bad or could it be the unit ? this only happen after i got the new map update the msn butterfly left some one help me the unit works fine but no msn

Are you plugged into your automobile or into a converter? Don’t know what you’re referring to as a docking station. The antenna is in the new cord you got from Garmin and it either has to be plugged into a converter or into your 12 volt socket in the car.

on the nuvi 5000 there is a dock the stays in the car where the msn plugs in to. there is a button at the bottom that releases the nuvi from the docking station and yes i am plugged in to the ligher
