Has anyone faced touch issue in DriveSmart GPS

Hi,

Has anyone faced touch issue in DriveSmart GPS? Yesterday I noticed the GPS unit is behaving oddly when I was almost in the destination. Seems its moving to diff places and like someone is navigating the device. I restarted the device then it was okay but after a few minutes it's behaving like same. I reset the device and updated the software version today, haven't tested yet.

Can anyone advise regarding this touch issue?

Well

I had something similar once on a nuvi, eventually realised I had a fly in the car that kept landing on it rolleyes

Any smudges?

You may also try a slightly damp soft cotton or microfiber cloth to clean the screen area and edges.

Hard Reset

Instead of restarting the device, try doing a hard reset.

Did a reset (wiping data and conf) from menu

Hi,

Today I did a reset from the menu and wiped all of the data after that updated the unit. Tested couple of times moving here and there no issues like previous. Hopefully it will not happen again.

I have a DS61, the 'touch'

I have a DS61, the 'touch' issue I've had is every now and then when I touch something on the screen it will 'highlight' and freeze for a little bit, maybe 10 seconds or so, before changing to what I touched.

Seems new smart GPS have issues... I didnt face in old nuvi models!
