I have a 1490t and a 765t. I used the zoom in zoom out feature for the first time yesterday. My question is does the zoom feature on the Nuvis automatically reset to an original setting when the units are turned off and then on? I cannot find an answer on this site or in the manuals.

My 265WT after being upgraded to 2011.10 not longer zooms out on the main map of North America without shutting down. I go to the view map screen and then just zoom out. It will go about 3 times and then shutt off. The last time I tried it (about a month ago on 2010.40 map) It didn't have this problem.

Carring case that came with my garmin 660 didn't have a
strap to secure it in the case and one day it fell out
so I put a velcro strap across the open of the case.

I have a new Garmin 1490T connected to an iMac. What I want to do is... replace the low volume beep for 'Speed Camera' with my own sound only louder so that I get a clear audible warning! Yes I can turn up the volume; but that makes other instructions too loud!

Amazon has dropped thier NuMaps Lifetime price again to $85.

Is it possible to get a Gamrin Nuvi 770 to send the turn by turn direction via bluetooth to a car OEM bluetooth integration.

Say I am listening to the radio, and when some information from the GPS comes, have the radio silence and hear through the speakers.

Just like a cell phone integration does when receiving a phone call?

I used to own a Magellan GPS prior to 765T. It gets pretty frustrating sometimes that the dining POI is pretty sub-par. Does not have basic categories for Asian cuisines! This should come standard.

Any thoughts!

I was wondering why after I loaded the 2011.10 map that I had Mexico but no POI's. Whenever I searched a city and went to points of interest it always brought up places in the U.S. I could go to cities and bring up towns but no street data or POI"s. I got the base map version evidently. I could see some highways.

I have my SD Sub directories setup the same as my NUVI 350 sub directories and currently load all my POIs onto the SD Card.

At the present time, I have sufficient memory on my NUVI with about 500+ Meg free space. I had 600+ Meg before I loaded 2011.10. It is likely that I will eventually run out of room.

Can I delete the voice files and help files from my Garmin that are not required. For instance, the ones for a foreign language? This would give me more room to download needed POI's etc?

It was available for download for my 760.

Just got back from a trip to the U.S. to shorted the winter.

I started in Edmonton Alberta and spent the first night in Idaho Falls. Next day took me to Vegas for the weekend. Then onto Phoenix for a week returning to Canada via Page AZ, Salt Lake and Idaho Falls.

Can I use the AC charger from my nuvi350 to charge my nuvi 255W?

I like the idea of Ciao, but I'm not able to add any friends. Any idea's on how to add other friends and does it work well.

Anyone know where to purchase an internal speaker for a 680? I know how to change it, just can not find where to buy the part. With all the posts about the internal speaker you would think someone would sell them.

I drove from Florida to NY this weekend.
The only place I had a problem with my GPS was going through the Virginnia Washington area.
I know that the new roads are not in my GPS and it went crazy recalculating. The same thing happens near Tampa Airport with the new roads.
Does anybody know if the new maps from Garmin have the updates with these roads on it?

Hi: I have 192 custom POI's loaded to my Garmin
Nuvi. They were created as a large GPX file with MAPSOURCE, and uploaded with POI LOADER. They are all present in the CUSTOM POI box within the EXTRAS area. The problem is that the waypoints have NO "GO-TO" Button to allow navigation to the POI. Any ideas? THANKS A LOT. I'm a POI Factory newbie. RMWAC

Hi All my nuvi 1300 takes about a min to get the birds. I thought I read that it is only supposed to take about a couple of seconds. Everything else seems to work properly. Im not sure what do do, if anything. Thoughts?

P.S. I HATE that security crap. I don't even bother posting much any longer because of it. When I joined this site that mess wasn't there.

I was looking through what's included in the box (just bought one) and it doesn't seem to have any software. My Quest 2 used the Map Source app from Garmin to load things onto it however I've sold that and no longer have the software installed.
