mapsource and poi's from here

I am pretty new to the forum and garmin. I have a 765T that I downloaded both Lancaster covered bridges and Pa covered bridges. How do I find them on mapsource and populate them to make a drive? I pulled all the info from the device to mapsource and saw my travels, and the custom route I had created. The POI's show up from the factory not my uploaded ones.....hope this makes sense? THanks.....Jim
You need GPX, not CSV to load into MapSource.
That's one reason I convert any POI files I use from csv to gpx. Get http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor and use it to convert csv to gpx. You can then open the gpx file with MapSource and copy and paste between that MapSource execution and another MapSource execution where you are creating your routes. They appear as Waypoints.

Bridges is a gpx file but the lancaster covered bridges is indeed a cvs. I will have to try the editor. Why can't I find the bridges though? Is there and extra step. I have only tried mapsource once. Jim

You have to know where you downloaded the file to open it. Go to your search area on your computer and search for the file by it's name. Note the folder it is in, then open Mapsource and go to File, Open, then find the folder it is in and open it.

The waypoints for the bridges should appear in the "Waypoints" tab of the User Data section. Use View,Show User Data Tabs if you can't see the collapsible section with Maps, Waypoints, Routes and Tracks on the screen.
EDIT: To see an individual waypoint, right-click on it in the waypoints section, then select "Show Selected Waypoint on Map"
