1XXX series USB cable

I have a 1490T and am wondering if anyone has figured out how to get it out of the computer mode when attached with the USB cable to the computer. On my old 750 when you unplugged it and it started up if you reattached the USB cable it would go to the regular travel mode. I have tried this and the safely remove hardware mode on the computer to no avail.

I can do it with the 1450 like this, when the computer icon goes away plug the usb cable back in before it starts booting up, if it goes to the bootup screen it is to late, it has to be right after the icon goes away.

It works...I guess I was just waiting to long before plugging it back in...now that I think about it it was the same on the 750.. Thanks..
