Garmin 885T Lifetime Update Problem

I own the lifetime update stuff for my 885T, but I am unable to do the update for the new map -- just announced.

It takes so long to get to talk to Garmin, I hope someone knows how to get this update done.

So the answer is "Wait until around May 6th." Not necessarily what you wanted to hear, but at least you have company. Note that two POI Factory members have gotten 2011.10 on their 8xx series nuvi but no one can explain how that happened.

Thanks. That's a real bummer. I'll be in the mountains of North Carolina at that time, and don't expect to have internet service.

But the NC mountains are better anyway.

880 updated

I got my 880 to update. It was indicated on a thread here on how to do it. I seem to remember it showed an update available for an older map. I clicked on that and did something and then it showed up as available.
