Garmin is still hanging in there strong with their wearable products. Maybe the prediction of the demise of stand-alone GPSRs is a bit premature.

I"m trying to load:
Walmart
Rest Stops
Low Clearance (from www.lowclearances.com)

I can load any one of those to my Garmin DriveSmart 60LMT and see them in Basecamp.

Each is under a top directory thusly:
../CustomPOIs
../CustomPOIs/Walmart
../CustomPOIs/rest
../CustomPOIs/Low

Each has a .bmp file and the walmart and rest stops have a .wav file. The root file names are identical.

Any suggestions for a replacement for a nuvi 2597 (similiar capabilities)?

I have a Garmin 50 that only displays "Garmin" upon startup and then nothing else. When I connect it to the windows 10 computer it is not recognized. After reading other posts I tried Cure3 and that resulted in an error which said "not a garmin format". I can't do anything else with it. Should I buy another one?

I updated to nuvi 2597lmt from nuvi 756t I have custom poi installed on the sd card the 756 tells my when I approach red light camera, hotel everything that is on the sd card the 2597 only gives a tone is there something wrong or is there a modification? Thanks in advance.

Is the cord for a 2595 replaceable? The one to the dash withe the antenna?

The blind factory preloaded icons on my Garmin DriveSmart 60LMTHD are irritating me. Those gas and restaurant icons without brand icon. Is there a way to hide them? I do not need to see that a restaurant is coming if I do not know what brand. I do not need to know that a gas station is coming if I have full tank. The icons cover streets what I do not like.

Hi I have a Caribbean Map in a SD Card at my Nuvi 2595, yesterday traveling to see rain damages all time say CAN’T CALCULATE ROUTE MEMORY FULL, but today checking my nuvi say

Main Unit 1.73 GB free SD Card 1.78 free, what can I Do for correct this issue before return to USA. Thanksssss

Garmin has updated Nuvicam's software to version 3.50 few days ago.
There is not much detail about the update.
"Change History
Changes made from version 3.40 to 3.50:
Improved software stability."

Went to Update GE today (From V 4.3.0.0 to V4.4.0.0)...and I got this Message:

(Path) GarminExpressInstaller.exe cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64 Bit versions of Windows.
Please contact the Software Vendor and ask if a 64 bit Windows Compatible version is available.

I'm not doing anything different than ever before!!!

I finally sent it as a bug to Garmin Folks...

I recently set up a Garmin Nuvi 3597 for my mother in law and set up on for my sister in law yesterday. Anyway, that made me wonder what my fellow POI members are doing in this regard. If you have a Garmin Nuvi 3597:

-Do You Use The Custom Dashboard?

-If So, What Do You Select In Each Field?

-Do You Like And Use Auto Zoom Or Have You Disabled It?

Ok all you Garmin experts. I have done a lot of map updates, and I have never had the update change my system settings. When I upgraded to this map right before a trip to North Georgia and Tennessee, I wished that I had not have done the upgrade. It changed all my settings, voice and preferences.

I'm STILL KICKING MYSELF BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS. It was fun but not a necessity. I miss it already. Stick with what little I knoe or try a new adventure?

eg... I have noticed a POI for the Dunkin Donuts in Crofton, MD is about 1/2 mile off... I'm ASSuming I can go to the proper spot, save the proper GPS coordinates, then correct the Excel spreadsheet at home and save... but that's selfish... should I detail and send that correction to the most recent author...?

I am trying to find the location of the recent files on a Garmin 57LM. Can anyone help me. Thanks for your help

Since yesterday my 2597 only starts intermittently. I was using it most of the day, however after I picked my wife up from work, it wouldn't turn on. A few hours later after being stopped for awhile, it turned on again; later not. Wouldn't start first time this morning, but did later, then not again.

Is there any reason Garmin, and others, cannot start using the Galileo satellites? They have 18 up and plan to go to 30.
