Garmin talk

Hi everyone,

I just got my Nuvi 760 which is an upgrade from Tom Tom 5 on my PDA. I noticed that when I select a destination that can be routed using a toll bridge or a free bridge the nuvi does not give you the option to avoid tolls like Tom Tom does. Have I looked over something or does the Nuvi just lack this feature.

I'm a nubie, and LOVE this site!!

I'm using a nuvi 660 & would like to be able to see where the next truck stop is. I've got the POI files loaded for different truck stops. I can choose them & it'll go there just fine, but I can't seem to get the GPS to display different truck stops along the route I'm on.

I have a Nuvi 350 and have downloaded custom POI's. They are in the nuvi. I have used 3d, north up and up arrow and do not see the POI's ever.

Does anyone have any ideas why?

Well I just ordered my IPHONE anyone out there have any info on pairing it up with my 660 not really how to do it, but i have read mixed reviews on whether or not they are bluetooth conpatable, and really looking for info on if i can play my music from the iphone through the NUVI and FM transmitter to the car speakers, if that makes sense.

A few weeks ago I bought a Nuvi 750? How do I get tracklogs off of it? A quick google search tells me I should use Mapsource, but since Mapsource didn't ship with it (the City Navigator data is builtin), I don't have Mapsource and it won't install.

Ideas?

It looks like Garmin has a few new models in their line up. Most, if not all, seem to be scheduled to be released in 2nd quarter of 2008.

Hey guys,

I just got my antenna in the mail. It's required so that I can receive XM radio/Nav-traffic/Weather/Stock updates in addition to being my nav antenna.

I opened the box and noticed that this thing is HUGE. It's like a hockey puck!

So, I'm contemplating mounting locations.

Greetings from a nuvi 750 newbie. I found a few discussions of backing up the Garmin nuvi data to a PC and it seems a very worthwhile idea. I've just backed up my data.

Hi...first-time poster. This summer I will be taking a vacation in Great Britain and am thinking of taking my Nuvi 360 with me. Does anyone know where I can purchase the SD card of maps for Great Britain? Or more to the point, where can I purchase it cheaply? Also, will the car charger that works on US cars also work on rentals in England? Thanks.

Does anyone else in Chicago experience problems with the Nuvi 350 when they are downtown? Every time I'm in downtown Chicago, it re-calculates over and over again. Is this due to all the massive buildings, or is it just mine? If nobody else experiences this, and it's just mine, what can I do to fix it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
