Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Need more info

What were you doing when you got the error?
Where did you get the POI file?
Is the POI file formatted correctly (long, lat, name, desc)?
Was the error on the unit or PC?

Garmin nüvi 200 (my first GPS), 780, & 3700 Series. And a Mac user.

Can you....

Can you open the csv in excell and verify that the columns are in the correct order? Also, make sure that the headers are removed.

I am assuming we are talking about a .csv file, is that correct?

.

There obviously is an error somewhere in the data in the file.

Take a look at the second post by Mike L in this thread and see if if helps you.

Great! Glad you found the problem.

In case you weren't familar with POI Verifier, one of the error-corrections it does is automatically strip out the headers for you.

What was wrong with the headers?

I thought POI Loader was happy with headers in csv files?

Changes made from version 2.2.1 to 2.3.1:

Changed to allow up to 4 lines of header information in .CSV files
