Hello Friends - a simple question - I already have POI's downloaded onto my Nuvi 350 - I wish to add and additional file - once downloaded onto my hard drive and into my POI folder can I download this single file as an addition to my POI's already loaded or do I need to download all files again. If can download this additional file what proceedure would be recommended - thanks again to all those who can help and have a GREAT DAY.
If you are only
If you are only downloading a new file to your computer , just add it to the folder you have your POIs in.
When you upload it to your GPSr, you must reload all the old POI files again plus the new one as the old ones will be deleted from your GPSr as you upload new one !

POI loader will overwrite
POI loader will overwrite your existing poi file. It's under \garmin\poi folder called gpx.gpi in your nuvi. You can also rename the gpx.gpi to something else, then run poi loader for the new poi.
You can also look up Motorcycle Mama's post on categorizing your poi.

Try this
Connect to your computer, go to My computer, find your Garmin. (nuvi) right click on it and go to properties, should show the drive and what is used and what is available, (I have XP)
mine shows 1.15 gb used, 234 mb free 1.38 capacity.
